Announcing SMH’s Inaugural Fundraising Luncheon: IMAGINE

The first IMAGINE luncheon will take place November 14th at the Hyatt OLIVE 8

One of the first things that new Vice President and Chief Development Officer, Sue Bean, began thinking about after her arrival in April were strategies to engage our long term donors and a way to create opportunities to tell our story to a new audience. After careful planning and discussion with the SMH board and leadership, Bean unveiled IMAGINE, SMH’s new fundraiser. The luncheon event will take place on Nov. 14 from 11:30 to 1 p.m. at the Hyatt Olive 8 Hotel.

Effective behavioral health, Bean believes, is essential to good overall health and well-being in the community. By creating IMAGINE, Bean hopes to tell the story of the services that Sound Mental Health provides and draw greater support and attention to the life-altering impact of good community mental health.

“I want people to imagine their support of our work as a powerful catalyst for changing the course of people’s lives,” she says. “We serve nearly one-third of the most complex, publicly funded behavioral health population in the county, and when we have the backing of our community behind us, we can improve lives, offer hope and give people a chance at a life of recovery.”

Event details are currently under development, with future announcements about the Master of Ceremonies, speakers and other exciting news forthcoming in the months ahead.
