Move designed to meet demand for enhanced client care and to centralize corporate operations
Come the summer of 2017, SMH’s corporate headquarters will have a new home. After approval from the SMH Board of Directors, the new location will be at SMH’s Tukwila East facility, 6400 Southcenter Blvd. The move will take place in early summer.
A steady increase in clients over the years increased demand for more treatment rooms in Seattle and the 11,000 square feet of available space at SMH’s two Capitol Hill facilities – the main campus and at Capitol Hill North – will address that need.
“First and foremost, this decision was made to enhance client care and our staff’s work environment,” SMH President & CEO Patrick Evans said. “As new opportunities emerge in health care, SMH believes that a more central King County location offers strategic advantages. This move also prepares us for expansion and growth outside of King County.”
SMH’s executive and administrative teams will occupy the 17,000 square feet of space that was available when the previous tenant vacated its lease. These teams include leadership from the Clinical, Information Technology, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, and Development departments.
An open house and tour of the new facility will be planned for late summer 2017.
